Happy Easter!!!

I love Sunday's because they are family days but Easter Sunday is probably my favorite. We are celebrating Jesus's gift and spending time with the ones we love.

My whole family went to church Easter morning (well minus my sister). It's nice to look down the pew and see my niece's all dressed up, Tevon looking handsome, and my husband and parents enjoying spending time with the kids. It makes me very thankful to God for giving me the family that I have.

After church we went and visited my grandfather in the nursing home. Its the first year that he wont be able to join us for Easter dinner in I don't know how long. I stopped and got him his favorite, a vanilla milkshake, as his special treat for Easter.

Then we went to my husband's family Easter. We had to drive to Indiana so it was interesting to drive across the bridge since its been open. Since my husband had been picking on me up to this point, I tried to get him to get out of the car and check out the corrections but he just wouldn't do it. Lol!

We had a great time playing frisbee with Tevon and my nephew in the front yard. My nephew's khaki's were covered in grass stains. Poor Alicia. We had a nice dinner and then the kids were quickly ready to have the egg hunt. My nephew was standing at the glass door inside hollering at his Dad outside, "Dad, Dad". Then when that didn't work it was "Jon, Jon, Jonny!" I was cracking up! He was trying to get out with him while they were hiding eggs.

Then we went to my parents for dinner and an egg hunt with my nieces. When I say egg hunt, I mean a ton of eggs hunt. Lol! Each child got 90 eggs all full of candy except for one which had $4 in it. They never eat that much candy but they have a blast hunting for eggs. Since there are so many, we always loose a few and the kids love trying to find those last few.

All in all, Tevon ended up with candy from probably 100 eggs and 7 Easter baskets! The baskets didn't have much candy, swim trunks, stuffed animal, chalk, bubbles, etc. no child needs 7 Easter baskets. People whole don't usually do baskets, got him baskets this year. It was crazy!

Needless to say, candy is going to Scouts and school to share.
