Wonderful Mother's Day!

I had one of the best Mother's Days ever. This was one of the first years that Tevon was old enough to do something on his own that was truly heart felt.

At school he made this poem that made me cry!

If my mom were a flower, she would be a rose because she's beautiful. If my mom were a song, she would be Twinkle Twinkle Little Star because her eyes sparkles. If my mom were a super hero, she would be Wonderwoman because she's wonderful. If my mom were candy, she would be cotton candy because she's sweet. If my mom were a color, she would be yellow because she's like the sun. If my mom were an animal, she would be a kitten because she's cute. If my mom were a tv show, she would be America's Got Talent because she's talented.

I could not believe how sweet he was. He made me a picture of him in a foam frame. He made me 3 cards, and bought me a #1 Mom shirt!

I went to lunch at my favorite restaurant, Olive Garden, and the did nothing the rest of the day. Mainly because I'm sick but it's still nice to lay around. Especially today because it has rained all day.

My husband was out of town in Oregon on business but he did think ahead and gave me a nice card and my favorite candy!

Being a mother is the reason I live and the reason I love. Without my son, I don't know what I would do. Days like today remind me of how much I love being a mother!
