I have to brag for a moment. I am so proud of my son, he is so thoughtful. Recently, my Dad has built a playhouse for Tevon and one for my nieces. He also built a smaller desk for Tevon. Tevon was so appreciative of everything that he has done for him that he made him a trophy with his tools. He told me that other people don't always have a Papa as good as his Papa and he is so thankful for everything his Papa has done for him. He was so thankful that he wanted to do something for his Papa to show his appreciation. He has been filing away at a piece of wood, putting screws, nails and random objects in it, drilling holes in it, for a while now. He did all this during his "Papa time" in the garage hanging with the boys. Lol! He then gave his hard work to his Papa, which meant the world to me. Hopefully it did to my Dad too. My Dad hung it on the wall in his garage.
Talk about a Proud Mom Moment. I'm proud that he understands that people CAN do things for you or they CAN give things to you but they DON'T have to so be thankful when they do. Any mother of a little boy knows that they don't always show that sweet, wonderful side that us mom's love!
